Parent Oreintation

Thank you so much to those who were able to attend tonight's parent oreintation.  I hope I was able to give you a look into what our year will look like.  If you were not able to attend, I will be sending home the packet we went over.  Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.  Thanks so much!

Monday Moments

We had a great Monday!  Students are quickly picking up on our routines.  I am excited to see our class coming together and learning about each other.

Tomorrow night we will have a First Grade Orientation Night.  This will be a time for parents to come and learn more about the ends and outs of First Grade.  I will be sharing lots of information about our reading series, spelling test, writing journals, and math standards.   Please note that moving from Kindergarten to First Grade is an important and sometimes difficult transition.  Please attend if possible.  

Welcome Back

Hi students and parents!!  It was so great meeting all of you today.  Thank you also for checking out our class website.  I hope to update this blog often with information about our class and upcoming events.  Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see more of something included on this blog.  I want it to be an easy and effective way for us to communicate.  Remember, you can always write me a note or email at snydera@rheacounty.org.   You can also call the school and leave a message on our classroom phone.  I will get call you back as soon as possible.  I'm excited about our class and the upcoming year!!! Skidamarinky?

So, you may be wondering why in the world is this website called Skidamarinky Days in First Grade....Well, one of my favorite songs to sing with my students is the Skidamarink song.  Soon enough they will be able to sing it to you.

Registration
