March Madness (Dot and Jabber, Flat Stanley)

Hello hello!  I hope that the wonderful spring (summer) weather is treating you well.  I know the students have enjoyed playing outside in the nice warm air.  Here is the newsletter for the story Dot and Jabber.

This week we will also be starting to work with money.  Students should be able to identify each coin and its value.  Please, please, please, practice this skill with your child.  Thank you!

Flat Stanley
Today we began a fun project with a character called Flat Stanley. He was flattened by a bulletin board and now is “as flat as a pancake.”  He is able to go on many adventures with this change.  Students will be bring Flat Stanley home to spend a few days with you and should come back with a journal about his time spent with your family.  We will be mailing our Flat Stanley’s all over the country and world over Spring Break.  Please see the information sheet that came home today.  You will need to get the address of a relative or friend we can send your child’s Flat Stanley.  Please try to send them to people outside of Spring City who will be willing to participate with our project.  We would love to see pictures, postcards, emails, etc. Here is a website of other places that Flat Stanley has traveled.  He also has a Facebook page.
